NASARAWA AMAZONS CROWNED CHAMPIONS OF 2024 BETSY OBASEKI WOMEN FOOTBALL TOURNAMENT

 Nasarawa Amazons have emerged victorious in the 2024 Betsy Obaseki Women Football Tournament, defeating Bayelsa Queens in a thrilling penalty shootout at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium.

This triumph came on the back of their semifinal win over defending champions, Edo Queens, which also went to penalties after a 2-2 stalemate. The Amazons' resilience and determination paid off, securing their spot in the final.

The 2024 tournament, which kicked off on October 2, featured 14 women's teams, including two international clubs from Benin Republic. The competition aimed to promote women's football while addressing critical social issues like teenage pregnancy and child marriage
